so, i’m walking with my friend john (who sits in the cube next to me) out to the car to go to lunch and he says, “See that red Trans-Am over there? I used to have a car just like that!” I cleverly say, “At least you don’t have it anymore,” to which he replies, “I loved that car.” And conveniently, this middle-aged man with a ponytail (ultra-conservative idiot talk show host Michael Savage has a term for these men - “red diaper-doper babies”) walked past (clearly within earshot) and got into said Trans-Am. how convenient that he heard me insult his mid-life-crisis-mobile.

catholic boys
every time i’m running late in the morning, i drive past the bergen catholic high school for boys. and now that it’s getting warmer out finally, all the boys are coming out to play their sports in the morning and in the evening when i’m on my way home. as cheap as it sounds, there is nothing i like more than driving past them and watching them play lacrosse in their little shorts… and it’s different because they go to a catholic high school. does anyone else understand the homoeroticism of catholic boys who go to boys-only catholic schools? it seems to be an archetypal theme and i wanted to know what you guys think.

i thought about bluetree.com, but that’s taken… i could have bluetrees.com, but i’m not sure about that.
i think i’d prefer to combine a color with an inanimate object that might not normally be that color. does anyone have any suggestions?

I really don’t understand what to expect, or what business value it could possibly have. I hope someone can explain this to me. I certainly hope that this chimp wasn’t made to pass out by way of some sort of chemical agent. That would add cruel to something that already seems unusual. This is what I get for turning my popup blocker off temporarily.

Does anyone else take it personally when no one replies to a journal entry? If I write something, I hope it will be interesting enough for someone to give feedback (like my lyrics that I posted the other day) but when no one does, it just makes me feel like I’m standing in the middle of a room getting ready to say something clever, and everyone looks at me attentively — and when I’m done saying it, everyone just stares blankly at me, and they go back to talking to each other again. And I’m left thinking, did I say something stupid or boring? Does anyone else ever feel this way? I realize that this is not necessarily reality, but when comparing LiveJournal to social situations, it seems to be the same sort of thing.
