sunshine in a can (aka tinkle in a cup)
there’s nothing worse than peeing in a cup.
i had to get a drug test for my job, since i’m being hired as a real employee (and not a consultant). there’s just something that seems wrong about putting the stuff that you aren’t supposed to touch (unless that’s your thing) into a cup for someone who actually WANTS it. and carrying a warm cup of it and handing it to someone. it’s like “look what i did!!! aren’t you proud?”
on that note, while i was at LabCorp today, there was this older hispanic woman working as the receptionist. i felt SOOOO bad for her, because this woman with 2 babies was being really rude to this lady just because she had an accent, and didn’t quite get exactly what she was saying. AND when the hispanic lady walked away, the mean baby-lady turned to everyone in the waiting room and said “i hate it when they can’t even speak english”. the word THEY was just the real kicker. now don’t get me wrong — foreigners annoy me sometimes too… BUT this lady wasn’t doing anything wrong… she wasn’t dancing around like the one at the PSB concert and hitting anyone with her ass — she was just doing her job. my dislike of foreigners at times only comes from the different social habits they bring here from their countries of origin that rub me the wrong way. it doesn’t mean they deserve cruelty.
