why cry over spilled milk when someone else can clean it up for you?

it is really sickening how some people will never grow up.

just moments ago i headed down to the cafeteria to grab lunch (late, might i add, because i’ve been so busy). standing in the sandwich line in front of me was a very overweight black man, who ordered a sandwich of some sort on a roll of some sort… what struck me was that he asked for the woman to make his sandwich with mayonnaise on BOTH sides.

this isn’t going to become a story about fat people, but trust me, he didn’t need it on both sides. i then started to wonder how different it tastes when it’s on both sides. if we sat him down in a room with a two-way mirror, would he know the difference? but i digress.

anyway, i get my turkey wrap with muenster (god i hope i spelled that right) and walked over to go pay for my lunch. as i’m paying, the same man from above waddles over to the cafeteria lady ringing me up, because he needs something.

it turns out — and this is RIDICULOUS — he was coming over to tell the lady that he had spilled his soda and needed someone to clean it up.

THEN, the lady he asks doesn’t know what to do, so she calls another one over, and it becomes a big spectacle.

FIRST OF ALL, if i spilled my soda, i would clean it up my own damned self, and move to another table. SECONDLY, these ladies are busy enough that they shouldn’t have to clean up after grown adults.

it turns out that building services is actually responsible for cleanup, so the cafeteria ladies couldn’t help.

i wonder if he managed to track THEM down to clean up his mess.

anyway, i just picture an overgrown child asking his mommy to put mayonnaise on both sides of his sandwich, and crying in order to get her to clean up his messes.

it’s amazing how children can live in adult bodies… sorta creepy, like Aliens or something.
